Hagop was born in Yerevan, Armenia. His vocation as a painter affirmed itself at the young age of twelve when he entered the School of Painting for Young Artists. Upon graduation from college, Hagop was accepted into the Aprahamian Art Studio where he learned his technique. Aprahamian was the master of European realism and the follower of Velázquez. Studies with him involved working exclusively from life, at first using the conceptual and technical methods of the Spanish, Russian, and French impressionism. The emphasis of each period was on Direct Painting from life.
Hagop, being free spirited and trying to find his own artistic identity, found himself intellectually and morally in conflict with the academic and political pressures of communist society. In 1981, with his family, Hagop immigrated to the United States of America and settled in Watertown, Massachusetts. He continues to improve his education as an artist with the art studio of Richard Schmid in Vermont.
One of his works is permanently exhibited at the Armenian Library and Museum of America in Massachusetts. The Boston merchants of Newbury Street have also mounted a bronze plaque on the street wall to honor Hagop as master painter. Recently, Hagop has also been given 1st prize for submission in the International Artists Magazine Competition for 2007. He is represented by the following galleries on the East Coast: J. Todd Galleries in Wellesley, MA; Summer House Gallery in Rockport, MA; Lilly Pad Gallery in Watch Hill, RI; and Susan Powell Fine Art in Connecticut.

I cannot remember a time when I did not paint. My paintings are about color pure and simple, both the modern abstract paintings and my watercolor landscapes are absolute studies in color. My Bachelor of Fine Arts degree is from Virginia Commonwealth University and my Master of Fine Arts came from Cornell University.

Time management is a misleading term, because we cannot really manage time. We can manage only ourselves. The best we can do is make decisions about the priorities in our lives, have our own personal and professional goals, and align our activities to reach these goals. Review how you are spending your time and make adjustments according to your goals and priorities.

Knot Again – www.knotagain.com
My name is Brad Englehardt and I am the founder of Knot Again. I make cutting boards from American Hardwoods; including Cherry, Black Walnut and Maple. The individual colors of the three woods work very well together to create beautiful, but usable boards. Knot Again creates many different shapes and sizes to meet the needs of any cook. I try to repurpose as much of the leftover wood as I can, so I also offer smaller items like trivets, door stops, and I-pad stands. All of my products are functional, there is a need for each piece that I create.
Knot Again started out as a hobby, but soon turned into a second full time job. I am currently in my 30th year of my career as a a firefighter. I absolutely love my irk and love to talk about too! Please come by for a visit.
